Biography
Jimmy Wilde was boxing’s first great flyweight and one of the most feared punchers pound-for-pound in history. Barely over 100 pounds, he won the World Flyweight Title in 1916 and defended it 13 times with a blend of speed and devastating timing that stunned much larger opponents. His reign helped legitimize the lighter divisions worldwide.
